How do you handle "Too many connection" problem? Codes: 429, 400, 403, 500

I want to ask you for your experience with API rate limits and various status codes returned. I have already identified that you can get a range of status codes including: 429, 400, 403, 500. Frankly, I see 429 very rarely

I am collecting various cases under:

I also did a little research and found several tickets that may be related:

Hi,
We’ve also encountered the same problem. Apart from the ones you mentioned, we also sometimes get 405 as well. We have already escalated this issue through some support tickets and I believe it would be best if everyone affected would comment here: [JRACLOUD-70909] HTTP Status 403 returned for DB connection error when calling REST APIs - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products. where the issue is tracked for a few months already.
