Hello Atlassian community, is there a way to know if app listed on marketplace has been built using Forge framework? A possible hint is that app is only compatible with Cloud version. Any thoughts how to know for sure? I’m looking to build my first app with Forge and I’m looking to find some successful examples. Thanks a lot.
Hi @Robert_Mian,
In cloud category, there are again 2 types of apps - Connect framework based and Forge framework based. https://builtwithforge.com provides a list of all Forge apps available on Marketplace. In marketplace, I don’t think there is an easy way to further filter out forge apps. To instantly know if an app is Forge or Connect on marketplace, you can click the cloud app and check the Resources section in the app listing details. If the Resources section has a descriptor, it is a connect app else it is a forge app. All the best for your first forge app
Thanks,
Chandana.
Excellent! Thank you @ChandanaMeka . https://builtwithforge.com is all I need for now. Also if I may to ask, I can see that some apps are available both for Cloud and Data Center, but as much as I know you cannot build app with Forge for Data Center, only Cloud. Am I missing a point here?
Correct, Forge is for cloud only.
Some apps would have listings for both Data Center and Cloud in marketplace. It’s possible that the app was initially on DC but later developed its Cloud version on Forge.
Makes sense now. Thanks a lot!
