Thanks @rw-dennis, looking into this now.

@kmorales I m not able to see your suggested option in Self hosted order form.

@umang.savaliya @rw-dennis Thanks for reporting this. Our support team is based in Austin, Texas where they are experiencing extreme weather and power outages. One of us will get back to you as soon as we can.

Is it possible to get the instructions on a DAC page so that we can have a single place to link to?

Hey @daniel, it’s on this page: Moving from server to cloud for developers

I’m in the process of updating that page now. CDAC is faster than DAC, for better or worse.

Thank you (adding to our internal documentation now… ).

And now for the stupid question: I am NOT writing a marketplace app.

I previously purchased Starter licenses so I could write ScriptRunner scripts and study for certification on my home machine, because I have no idea if it is appropriate to use the ‘developer’ license associated with our SEN outside my company’s network.

In order to be useful, I’d need to be able to buy a starter Jira/Confluence ScriptRunner as well.

Should I be purchasing Starter or using the company ‘developer’ license for this stuff?

If I buy Starter, can I still purchase a Marketplace app for it?

Thanks for your patience :slightly_smiling_face:

Just checked again, it’s working now! Thanks for following up.

Hi @adaly,
Two parts to your question:
New Starter Server licenses should only be purchased for ‘app development purposes’. We believe whether you use your company’s license on your home machine is your company’s decision; our concern would only be if you’re violating our terms or acceptable use policy.

Marketplace functionality has not changed, so you can continue to buy Starter Server Marketplace Apps until February 2023 and renew them thereafter until February 2024 (e.g. Scriptrunner or otherwise).

Thanks so much for clarifying the licensing! Been totally confused since we all became ‘remote workers.’

Why that order form asks a customer name and customer mailing address?

Second question is that it is able to get 10 users licenses for Data Center only with $10?

Hi Matti, do you see ‘billing contact name and email email address’? You should use your own details for that field so that the invoice can be sent to you.

It is not currently possibly to purchase Data Center licenses for <500 users. We are currently working on a solution to this for Data Center developers.

Thanks!
