How to view source code of existing plugin examples

I am new to JIRA plugin development. I am going to the docs, and some of the pages gives the reference of source file of related example as
/jira-project/jira-components/jira-plugins/jira-view-issue-plugin/src/main/resources/atlassian-plugin.xml

What is meaning of source-installation-directory? what will be the absolute url in above case?

The source code is available to anyone with a Server license. it is referring to the source code that customers can obtain. There is no ‘absolute url’ to the source code – Read on
