Is it possible to register handlers on confluence cloud editor?

In the Confluence DC we have ‘confluence.editor.registerHandlers’ to register handlers and implement the logic to insert macro on matching scenario. Do we have equivalent way in confluence cloud editor to insert a macro on particular matching scenario. I do not find any documentation in connect cloud related to that so I am checking here in community if I miss any.

For example, In DC when typing ‘$sometext$’ we insert a macro using the register handlers. So will it be possible to do the same in confluence cloud editor.

Looking forward for your response. Thanks in Advance!
