Is Personal Data Reporting API the only way to detect account closure for 3LO apps?

For OAuth 2.0 (3LO) apps, is there any official mechanism (webhook, event, or notification) to detect when a user’s Atlassian account is closed/deleted, other than periodically polling the Personal Data Reporting API? We want to confirm if Personal Data Reporting API is the only way to detect account closure.
