Issues with Jira visual editor on Mac Safari

I’ve noticed that I can no longer type a space after I have typed “Jira” – it just does nothing. So, for example, when I type “Jira is”, I always get “Jirais”.

My current work-around ist to type “Jirax is”, then go back and delete the “x”. But that’s not how it’s ought to work, is it?

I first noticed the problem with Jira 8.20.8. We upgraded to Jira 8.20.10, but the issue is still there. I also tested with the latest Jira 9.0.0, and it’s having that issue, too.

This happens only in Safari. My current version is Version 15.5 (17613.2.7.1.8).

I wonder, didn’t anybody else notice this yet?

Yes, this seems to be an ongoing problem with Jira and Safari. We’ve tested up to 9.4.0 with Safari and it still does it. Annoying.

Jira 9.5 affected, too. Atlassian doesn’t seem to care for Mac users.
