Jira 8 SearchQuery: user vs "override security" mode

Hi everyone, I see that the new QueryPermissions.overrideSecurity() method in 8.0.0-m0007 doesn’t take a user. But the user may be needed not just for security – there are JQL functions like currentUser() and the like, does this change mean they’ll stop working in “override security” mode in Jira 8?

Hi @pzvyagin,

Thanks for raising this. Yes, we realised recently that removing ApplicationUser from overrideSecurity was a wrong step. We’re now working towards fixing this in EAP05.
