I’ve searched for a while and still have no idea what @code
means or how it’s supposed to be used. I’m hoping someone else does.

It’s just page formatting errata. The {@code}
text you see is just some errant markdown code that’s somehow slipped through the page rendering process. Ignore it.
So, if the page shows:
{@code *all, -prop1} - include all properties except {@code prop1}
you should read it as:
*all, -prop1
- include all properties except prop1
