we just started to redevelop our Datacenter Apps for Atlassian Cloud. We wanted to use Forge as it is recommended from atlassians side but forge currently has no proper support for popups (Which we are currently using for handling login windows). The only way to get navigation inside forge at all is the router object from bridge API, which only supports navigation in new tab or in host window.
In connect however it is no problem to add Login Popups so currently we are more or less forced into connect.
So is there any plan from atlassians side to improve the router object to behave more like window.open so you can add windowFeatures.
Another question would be if we are deciding to develop the new App in Connect is there any official date from Atlassian how long Connect will be available /End of Life?
