Proxy a space of Confluence

I am setting up a Apache proxy for Confluence.

Can I just proxy a space, not the entire Confluence site?

If this is doable, any links or examples?

Thanks for help!

Hi @smithdavis112233,

I think that your issue is more related with Confluence permission.

You can set a proxy with an authenticated user (passing through the http header, eg: https://superuser.com/questions/704781/apache-mod-proxy-with-automatic-authentication) that has access only to the space that you want to share. This way the person won’t be able to see the entire Confluence site.

I’m not sure if this is the best solution… But I think maybe it can lead you to your solution!

Regards,

You’ll probably get more responses by asking the user community at community.atlassian.com that has more admins and alike this question.

That said - it depends on what you’re trying to do. If there’s only one space in the entire confluence instance and that’s the one you’re trying to proxy - then you’ll be fine. If you’re taking a single space from within a large confluence instance and proxyibg it - your mileage may vary but more than likely you’ll get js errors (Confluence really likes a single public URL).
