Congratulations on announcing the improvements to the manage apps section 
There are a couple of questions that we have off the back of this:
- What classes as an app that is “previously only visible at the product level from within Jira or Confluence”? Could you provide a few examples?
- The screenshots seemed to indicate that Jira/Confluence users could install Connect/Forge apps, is this/will this be the case? Could you point us towards the docs if it is?

Great questions - here are my responses:
- What classes as an app that is “previously only visible at the product level from within Jira or Confluence”? Could you provide a few examples?
This is referring to apps built on Connect. Previously customers could only view apps built on Forge or with the 3LO framework from the Connected Apps tab on admin.atlassian.com. Many customers are not familiar with our development platforms so we framed this using more general language in the Community post.
- The screenshots seemed to indicate that Jira/Confluence users could install Connect/Forge apps, is this/will this be the case? Could you point us towards the docs if it is?
No - this has to do with a control to turn off end user installs for 3LO (OAuth 2.0) apps. Currently, end users can install apps built with the 3LO (OAuth 2.0) framework. Admins can remove this option for end users by turning off end user installs using the control in the screenshot. (We’ve published a quick reference guide on the topic topic of end user app installs in in the Partner Portal here, and you can see what we shared with customers by clicking the link in the Community post).
