Removing access to Forms data using Jira entity properties API

Hello Atlassian Developer Community,

We want to notify you about an upcoming change to the Jira Cloud platform REST APIs.

We’ll soon be removing access to Forms (previously ProForma) data currently stored in entity properties from both Issue properties routes and Project properties routes.

We’ll be moving this data and storing it in an alternate location which will enable us to build new functionality, plus increase performance and reliability of Forms.

We anticipate most of the required functionality is available through the Forms REST API that you’ll need to migrate to in order to access this data in future. If you have any unsupported requirements, please let us know so we can further assist.

These changes will be made on or after 5 August 2024.

We hope this change will cause minimal disruption and as always, please reach out to us if you have any concerns or feedback.

We have also announced this on the Developer ChangeLog and the JSM Development Category

Thanks,

Sam Knight
Principal Product Manager, Jira Service Management

Will it be granted back? We use add-ons from Code FortyNine that clones the form to other projects. Will forms work the same across all project types? Currently forms is really only useful in JSM, unless you want to create custom fields for JSW projects, which is not productive.
