Currently we are using CQL queries with expand
. Will CQL queries be impacted by the deprecation of the v1 API?
Hi @marc - I can confirm CQL queries / the v1 Search content endpoint are not affected by the current v1 deprecations. The Search content endpoint may by deprecated in the future, but only if we have an equivalent v2 endpoint for search / CQL queries.
Is this still the case for today, or is there an equivalent?
I only ask again because I do not see an alternative called out in the api/v2 rest api site
V1 is still in use; but it’s been amended per the notes here: Upcoming changes to Confluence Cloud REST APIs to modernize search - so it’s a new version of v1
I think you’re looking at an old change? The cutoff was July 15th 2020.
Additionally, I don’t think that the /search
endpoints were affected by the deprecation.
Ah good point; I’d seen the page was last updated 27 May 2025, rather than noting the deprecation date.
