Rovo chat/agents not available on free developer site for Codegeist 2026

Hi, I’m building a Codegeist 2026 entry with a rovo:agent and rovo:mcp module. My developer site (whylog-dev.atlassian.net) shows “Rovo features are available for all apps” in admin, but there’s no Chat entry in Jira or Confluence and the Agents page shows 0 agents. Is there a way to get Rovo enabled on a developer site for testing (my account uses a personal email domain)? Thanks!

Try a Forge demo site instead of the free developer site. The docs say it comes with “enterprise editions of Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Rovo”.

npm install -g @forge/cli@latest
forge site provision
forge deploy
forge install --demo-site

Each developer gets one. It stays up for 90 days by default, and if provisioning says no sites are available, the same page says to retry later.

The free site probably lacks Rovo Chat. Rovo access is documented for Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans, so that part is my inference, and in the older thread on this one developer got Chat after starting a Standard trial.

The 0 agents can also mean the rovo:agent module isn’t deployed and installed on whylog-dev yet. Check that first. I haven’t run the provision command myself.

Same here. My developer site (offerastudio-dev.atlassian.net) shows Rovo access enabled for all apps in admin and the Rovo credits counter (0 used), but there is no Chat entry in Jira or Atlassian Home, and the Rovo chat link redirects to the marketing page. My organization was also created with a gmail.com account. Is there a recommended way for Codegeist 2026 participants to get Rovo on a developer site, or should we create the site with a custom-domain email?
