Scheduled maintenance for apps management

NOTE: Due to feedback received, this announcement has been updated to reflect revised time-frame

Atlassian will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on 05/12/2022 from 10:00AM until 10:30AM AEDT.

During this time you will not be able to:

  • Install/uninstall applications to your site
  • Upgrade existing installations on your site
  • Grant/revoke access for applications

You will still be able to:

  • Deploy Forge App via Forge CLI
  • View Forge App installations via Forge CLI
  • View Forge App logs via Forge CLI

Users will not experience issues with app invocation, however will not be able to make new consent grants for apps during the maintenance window.

A Statuspage maintenance will be posted on the developer.status.atlassian.com a few days before the maintenance start.

It will include the detailed timeframes of the maintenance and we will keep it up-to-date with the progress of the maintenance on the day.

Am I understanding correctly? For 30mins in the middle of the week - Forge apps will basically be down for 30mins because of the Consent screen?

Why isn’t this happening on the weekend and not in the middle of the US business day?

Is this being communicated to all Jira/Confluence users?

Agree with Daniel, it is possibly the worst time to do it from a customer perspective. in the middle of the working week and in the morning east coast time, right in the afternoon for Europe.

you could marginally choose a worse time by choosing 8 am PST - to cover the whole of the US and tail end of the European working day.

if you wanted to pick a more customer/vendor friendly time in US working hours you could do it at the end of day PST. (for example).

If we release an update for a Forge or Connect app but upgrades cannot occur within Jira/Confluence are the updates going to be queued somewhere within Atlassian until Jira/Confluence can support upgrading apps again?

Thanks for your feedback. We hear your concerns and we have put these plans on hold until we can schedule a time that will be more suitable. We will keep this announcement updated with revised time when it becomes available.
