In the new interface for adding a gadget, a series of “categories” or filters are displayed: All, Jira, Charts…
How can I indicate that my gadget is of type “Chart”?
In the dashboard-items documentation there is no property to indicate the type of gadget or something like that in the atlassian-connect.json.

Custom built dashboard gadgets are automatically assigned to the “Jira” category and that’s the only one possible at this current point in time.
Therefore, I went ahead and I have created a Feature Request on your behalf for this:
You may want to vote and watch the above feature request so that you will get notified in case of any update. The feature will be addressed according to the Implementation of New Features Policy
