Summable attribute removal from Assets REST API's

Hello Atlassian Developer Community,

We want to notify you about an upcoming change to the REST API’s for Assets in Jira Service Management Cloud.

In the interest of providing a better user experience, we will be removing the summable attribute from the request/response payloads of the following endpoints:

  1. /object (response)
  2. /objectschema (response)
  3. /objecttype (response)
  4. /objecttypeattribute (request/response)

This attribute, previously used internally to display the sum of the marked attributes in the Assets user interface, will be deprecated. Please note that we are deprecating the API attribute only; we are not removing the Show Sum feature. However, it will be replaced by a new toggle in the Assets interface that allows users to dynamically display the sum of any attribute without needing to configure it at the attribute level.

This change will be made on or after31 Jan 2025.
