What are the in-person Covid-19 precautions?

Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us. We will be sharing all requirements and protocols once registration opens. Team ’22 offers both an in-person and digital experience. Are there any more speaker opportunities or sponsorships available?

Looks like only platinum partners and specialized partners will be invited to the offline Team’22.

Why not make first-come-first-server? Platinum partners are already successful. For smaller partners, it may be critical to attend such events to survive, unlike platinum ones. So the most active partner gets to the conf. I think that will help the ecosystem to be stronger and bigger and will help to grow more platinum partners in the long term. And now we get the opposite situation here…

Wow, that sounds bleak! You ok?

The goal of any startup during the first few years is to survive.

Not a big fan of startup culture and the contemporary glorification of it. Either way, I do think that if attendance to an event in one of the most depressing cities on the globe is vital to the survival of a company, it might not have a solid business strategy

Attending such events helps to adjust the strategy or even change it, nothing bad with that. What happened to your strategy when Covid started? Didn’t it affect your strategy?

To be honest, no not really. Obviously, this is also because both Atlassian and apps have been successful throughout the pandemic. As a result, there hasn’t been a reason to adjust strategy for us.

I’m not sure how that relates to me being skeptic about the impact of in-person events for the success of Marketplace Partners?

Hi Remie,

We were Innovative sponsors in Vegas in 2019 and my lessons learned from being part of the in-person event were:

  • it was a rare chance to really talk to our customers, zoom/webex/meet is nothing compared to that
  • it was a reality check when you have a queue of people waiting to ask questions to you when other booths were not so lucky
  • it was a chance to meet other guys from Ukraine 5000 miles away from it
  • it did affect our strategy, yes - it was not solid, and it is still not solid
  • Las Vegas is a nice place to spend those 4 days

But you might have a completely different story, every company has its own story and that’s cool.

Best,
Vasiliy

Hi guys,

From my perspective, there are no solid strategy these days due to modern world speed.
And it is good chance to adjust (or at least try to see possibility of it) strategy due to some serendipity meeting in taxi/terminal/plane/hotel/venue instead of “sitting behind laptop with 3 FFP2 masks on the nose”

And some depressed mature pile is a great opportunity for some garbage collector
