Hello developer community,
We’ve announced an upcoming change to the portfolioChildIssuesOf() JQL function: its results will include work items in valid team-managed space hierarchies, as well as company-managed spaces. This includes supported relationships between the two, such as a team-managed epic under a company-managed initiative.
Progressive rollout starts on February 1, 2027. Queries using NOT IN portfolioChildIssuesOf() will also exclude these additional work items. REST API request and response formats don’t change.
If your app, saved filters or automation rules assume team-managed work items are left out of these results, please review them before the rollout. Full details are in the Developer Changelog: CHANGE-3526.
