Please note that I am still awaiting an official reaction with regard to Deprecation of Connect JS getSelectedText API for security reasons - #15 by remie

We have decided to sunset two apps as a result of this deprecation. There has not yet been any satisfying answer as to why it was decided not to re-implement this in a secure way for Connect, nor has there been any communication with regard to the future of Connect.

Closing Deprecation of Connect JS getSelectedText API for security reasons - #11 by remie without clarification was not a good idea and does not help anyone.

Hi @remie,

I will draw the attention of our product management to your decision to sunset apps due to lack of investment in Connect and viable alternate paths. Further to this, within Atlassian, we agree our partners need more clarity on the future of Connect to avoid situations like this. I am hopeful clarity will be provided in the not too distant future.
