We want share some exciting news coming in FY26 (calendar year 2025) for the Marketplace Partner Program. These changes are being shared now and the new program will come into place from July 2025. For more details, check out the announcement in the Partner Portal.
To apply for Partner Portal access , you need at least one paid-via-Atlassian app and a private domain.
Forge is nowhere near mature enough as a platform to migrate Connect apps. And in many cases the performance is so slow and buggy that it’s very difficult to justify charging customers.
I assume the team making these partner program eligibility changes are clueless to this fact.
Also some functionalities are missing: e.g. as far as I know, it is not feasible to handle real time communication, like websocket, via Forge Remote.
