What is the Forge feature release process: EAP, Preview, Beta?

Hi,

I could not find an answer to this simple query. I want to use some Forge features that are in EAP, some in Preview and some in Beta.

How does the new release process work? Is below the current process and each stage being a bit more stable than the previous until GA?

EAP → Preview → Beta → GA

Hey,

Well spotted. We’re moving away from “betas” and will be standardising on an EAP > Preview > GA release phasing.

We’ll have some more details on this soon, but the goal is to be more consistent and transparent about how we roll features out (with respect to breaking changes etc).

Hi @AdamMoore is there any update on this?

There are many ongoing EAPs for various things. We would like to join some of them, but I can’t find any way how I can join them.

Hey, we’ve updated our docs with more info describing what we mean by EAP > Preview > GA https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/forge/whats-coming/

The next step is that we’re working on a way to more easily discover and join EAPs. For the moment, the best thing is to keep an eye on community for when EAPs are announced and looking for participants.
