When adopting connect-on-forge does the forge app have a new accountId of accountType "app"?

Hello!

I was under the impression that when adopting connect on forge all previous app settings would be kept but it appears that we have duplicate users of accountType “app” on our instance. They both have the app name as displayName (guessing one is from the connect app and one is now from the forge app). Is this expected behavior? I couldn’t find any reference to this in the documentation. If someone has some insight on this, I’d appreciate it.

@scott.dudley is correct, we had to “persist” the production account with Atlassian support’s help on our connect on forge transition to preserve the account ID.

Also note that each forge environment (e.g. dev, staging, prod) will be assigned its own separate app account with a different ID. The persisting only applies to production.
