Content Byline Items are a great way to add functionality to Confluence pages. Except… for pages on which the content byline is not being shown, as it is the case with space home pages.
Is there any reason for this? Is it possible to regard this as a bug and have it fixed?
The space home page serves a distinct purpose as the entry point for users visiting that space and is automatically created during the space setup. It is designed to be customizable, allowing teams to tailor it with various macros, making it different from the experience of classic page creation, so the byline item is not supported on the space home page.
