Will the basic authentication in the JIRA API be affected in any way because of the new "Two-step verification login"?

Just want to be 100% sure this new feature of two-step authentication won’t affect APIs access as it work today.

this will be related only to the products and not to the API access, right?

Yes, I confirm that change is about the UI login page, not the API.
