On May 1, 2024, we’re deprecating some long-standing group REST APIs that make use of group names, and removing support for group name parameters in a handful of other write-based endpoints. This is a followup post to our previous set of deprecations we posted about here.
These changes are being made in favor of using an immutable parameter, groupId, in order to better support group renaming. This parameter is available for use in existing endpoints as of this announcement. You can see more detail in the DAC post here.
