Developer Day is next week – check out the agenda!

Hey there, community!

Hope everyone is well and safe! :sparkles: The last few months have been busy – especially with the judging + picking of our Codegeist 2020 winners, the launch of Atlassian Ventures, and all the improvements being made to our new cloud app development platform, Forge.

Speaking of Forge, as most of you may know, we’re hosting our first-ever virtual Developer Day next week. On November 10, Developer Day attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the team that built Forge, see its capabilities in action and get a glimpse of what’s next. The event will take place the day after Team Tour, between 9am - 4:30pm PST (find out what time that is in your city).

@shaziya just wondering if it will be possible to watch the sessions the day after still? The event will happen at night in my timezone. I am asking because I believe for the team.work() event it was not possible to re-watch a session after had passed.

@tbinna: Hey you! Yes, the sessions will definitely be available to watch after the event itself – simply register so you can view at a more convenient time. Thanks for pointing this out, too! I’ve updated the OP to reflect. :sparkles:

@shaziya - just in case Developer Day uses the same underlying technical platform as Team Tour 2020 ‘Amer’ (seems to be Brightcove), can you double check that it will work without the apparent Geo blocking preventing me and others from watching the videos (both live and after the fact, i.e. still not working)?
I never got an answer to my respecitve in event Help Desk inquiries, so the ‘geo blocking’ is just speculation, but some affected colleagues where able to get around this by using VPN connections to the US.

Hi @hopel! Thanks for asking – I’ve gotten confirmation that we are not using Brightcove for Developer Day; instead we’re using YouTube live streaming to connect with Socialive. To answer your question, we don’t foresee any issues re: geo-blocking. So excited to have you join us! :rocket:

Will it be available somehow for those who was not participated (and not registered)?

It’s available as a Youtube video here: Team Tour Developer Day Broadcast - YouTube
