We’ve introduced the jira:dashboardBackgroundScript Forge module. You can now use it for optimizing dashboard gadgets’ UX.

Oh wow, this sounds great! Would be awesome to be able to have a background scripts modules like this in every possible location that also allows normal UI modules. Kind of like how you can do invisible web panels in Connect.
And if then the events API would also allow cross app communication that would resolve one of the reasons why we’re blocked from using forge for our apps at the moment.
