Marketplace app listing instantly rejected by Plugin Checker with "no reason" (Forge, Jira Cloud)

Hi All, I’m submitting a new Jira Cloud Forge app to Atlassian Marketplace and the listing is instantly rejected by the automated [BOT] Plugin Checker after I click Resubmit (no failing rule shown).

App: Sprint Canvas – Capacity Planning for Jira
PUBLIC version/build: v5.0.0 (build 3002050)
Ticket: ECOHELP-114039

What I’ve verified:
• 3 highlights (1840×900) with titles/descriptions/captions
• Media screenshots (1840×900) with captions
• App banner / UPM banner (1120×548)
• Policy/support/docs links are public (no login / no 403/404)

Question:
Has anyone seen instant rejections caused by the new Marketplace app-name validation checks or other listing validators? Any checklist items that commonly trigger a silent rejection?

I am thinking if this could be due to the fact the previous ECOHELP tickets are open or there is something with the app manifest?

Really appreciate support on this.

Thanks,

Max

Update: I found a likely gate - my Marketplace Partner Verification ticket (ECOHELP-105416) shows Status: REJECTED even though Identity Information Collection + Partner Security Questionnaire are SUBMITTED. Vendor ID: 754091272.

Suspecting the Plugin Checker “instant reject with no reason” may be due to partner verification not being in an approved state. I’ve requested help/reopen on ECOHELP-105416 and linked it from ECOHELP-114039.

Has anyone seen Plugin Checker instant rejections caused by partner verification status being stuck (Rejected) despite submitted forms? If yes: what was the correct way to restart/reopen the partner verification workflow?

Update: Root cause appears to have been Marketplace Partner Verification / account gating.

My resubmission was being instantly rejected by the Plugin Checker with “no reason” until our Partner Verification workflow was completed. After that (and completing the Marketplace payment profile), the same version now enters “Pending approval by Atlassian” instead of getting silently rejected.

If anyone hits the same “instant reject / no reason” behavior, check whether your Partner Verification is fully completed/approved (and that vendor payout profile is complete), not just listing assets/policy links.

@MaxArden, thanks for documenting this. I’m currently in the same review pipeline with a Forge app, and your root-cause discovery just saved me hours. I hadn’t connected the instant-reject behavior to Partner Verification status. I’ll double-check that my vendor payout profile is complete before my next resubmit.

For anyone else landing here, the Partner Verification workflow and payment profile are separate from the app listing itself. However, the Plugin Checker seems to require both to be fully approved. Check ECOHELP tickets for both before assuming it’s a manifest issue.
