Please engage your account managers for larger companies to ensure EAP is representative of reality

I had the same question and thought of a solution. You might be able to create a new Jira space with a custom filter that brings tickets from multiple Spaces together.
Firstly, this looks fantastic - when can I get access to it?
When it comes resourcing, we have people involved in Epics from multiple deliverables across business, using different Jira Spaces - each run by different project managers.
If this feature were part of Jira Plan, rather than a single Space, we could use it to build a single view. Or - is it possible to create a Jira Space that pulls work items from multiple Spaces?
In terms of functionality, being able to export the grid out to a CSV file would be very useful.
Again - I’m keen on being part of the EAP as we have a complicated, busy environment to track peoples’ availability against.
Thanks, Tejas! I’ll wait for this, this will help us with mentioning to end users. Hint, it’s good it’s available on space (level) like Timeline that is available on standard. Then an extended timeline like Plans, maybe much more features on Plans (for Premium/Enterprise).
It might works, but using the current experience. If I have a space with a filter consolidating multiple projects, the experience of to see and work on these issues only applies in the board view, the list and calendars view are based only in a single space filter. Needs to ensure that this capacity will work cross filter projects as the board view works.
This looks fantastic and is a hot topic for us at the moment, we’d love to try it out and give some feedback when available please!

You can create a board with multiple spaces and can add a Capacity View.

Is there any specific reason why it will not support work types below epics? I would be very helpful for work types at the Story level as well

Excited to see this feature and getting into the EAP if/when it opens up! A few things others have raised that we’d strongly echo:
- +1 on Story-level support — Epic-only is limiting for teams doing detailed capacity planning
- +1 on making this available in Plans for cross-space visibility — many of our people work across multiple spaces run by different PMs and a single consolidated view is essential
Two additional questions from our team as we think through how this would work in practice:
Workload source beyond Assignee
- Will workload calculation be limited to the Assignee field, or will there be support for other user fields (e.g. Reviewer, QA Owner, or custom user-picker fields)?
- In many workflows, the person doing the work isn’t always the Assignee — it’d be great to configure which field(s) drive capacity and/or some kind of weighting as to what those user fields signal.
Excluding stalled/blocked issues from active workload
- Will there be a way to exclude issues in certain statuses (e.g. Blocked, On Hold) from counting toward a person’s workload?
- Someone can be “assigned” to 10 epics but if 7 are blocked, their real capacity is very different — the current model could significantly overstate how loaded someone is.

Any official status update regarding this RFC? A customer of us really needs a solution for individual capacity planning and wants to join the EAP program: how should we proceed? The customer is also currently investigating alternative solutions, I would really prefer to propose them an Atlassian solution. Thanks in advance for your help and your answer.
