The constant remodeling of the Atlassian experience is becoming increasingly frustrating. You are not streamlining our processes—you are making nearly every process 10 times more complicated than it needs to be. Across the board, views and workflows that were previously straightforward and usable are being changed into experiences that are confusing, inefficient, and, in some cases, practically unusable.
A few examples:
User Administration: The previous admin experience for adding and managing users was simple, quick, and efficient. Now, what should be a straightforward process requires administrators to navigate through multiple areas for each individual user to manage groups, licenses, access, and other settings. What previously took a few simple steps now requires significantly more time and effort. There is no obvious improvement from the administrator’s perspective -
only additional work.
Create Ticket View: The new Create Ticket experience is another major example. The standard view does not clearly present all of the fields users need. Then, once the view is expanded, additional fields appear. This creates confusion about what information is actually required and where users are supposed to enter it. The interface is not clear, concise, or intuitive.
Explain to me how this is even remotely acceptable
It displays 3 fields.
you have to expand the ticket to see all the fields:
I have approximately 100 people a day relying on these systems, and I have to spend my time walking users through these increasingly complicated experiences. Instead of making the customer experience easier, these changes are creating more questions, more training, more support requests, and significantly more administrative overhead.
This is not streamlining. It is adding layers of complexity to processes that were already working.
The overall direction is extremely concerning. Atlassian is taking interfaces that were functional and usable and repeatedly redesigning them into experiences that are more difficult to understand and more time-consuming to operate. From both an administrator and end-user perspective, this feels like a significant regression.
Please stop assuming that changing the interface automatically makes it better. Usability, efficiency, consistency, and simplicity should be the goals. Right now, the constant redesigns are accomplishing the opposite.
