Use of other alternatives instead of Docker to run the forge tunnel?

Hello everyone,

Does Forge requires using only Docker, or we can use some other alternatives like Podman in order to run the forge tunnel?

AFAIK, Forge CLI uses socket communication to Docker daemon, so podman is not usable. I have created this request [FRGE-782] - Ecosystem Jira to use Docker CLI to manage container.

Hey,

I’m using Rancher Desktop to run the tunnel and it works.
Alternatively you can also use tunnel without Docker (seems to be in development state), this also works for me: Quick tip: Tunneling without Docker (useful for Apple Silicon / M1).
