Important: Our Participation Guidelines

Participation Guidelines

Help us build a dynamic and friendly community by following these guidelines. In conjunction with the Code of Conduct guidance for behavior, follow these suggestions to jump in and take part:

  • Participate. A community is only as strong as its members make it. Ask good questions, post replies, join discussions, “like” something. Don’t just watch, get involved!

  • Like and link. Rather than posting “+1” or “Agreed,” use the Like button. Rather than taking an existing topic in a different direction, use “Reply as a Linked Topic.”

  • Keep it welcoming, and safe.
Mentor new members on how to participate.
Be friendly and open to others.
    Flag inappropriate posts.
    Report suspicious behaviour or content.

  • Keep it tidy. Please put things in the right place.
Don’t start a topic in the wrong category.
Don’t cross-post the same thing in different categories.
    Don’t post no-content replies.
Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream.
Don’t sign your posts — every post has your profile information attached to it.

  • Don’t disrupt the community, by:
Doing something that disables the site from rendering.
Disrupting the functioning of the server (DOS attack, et cetera).
Adding content designed to infect members’ computers (viruses, scripts, et cetera).
    Adding repetitious content (flooding).

  • Don’t post anything illegal. Messages that contain content that violates applicable laws won’t be tolerated.

  • Respect privacy. Make sure your contributions don’t violate the Atlassian privacy policy: Privacy Policy | Atlassian

  • Don’t spam the community. That means:
    No unsolicited commercial offers.
No content not related to the Atlassian ecosystem.

Our community is expected to abide by our Code of Conduct, and our Acceptable Use Policy.

Anyone who violates these guidelines may be penalized or even banned from the community.
